Anime Season: Fall 2010

It has been a while…

This fall anime season seems to be very promising, as expected of a fall season and I have a lot on my plan-to-watch list where I need more than my two hands to count compared to the previous Fall anime season 2009 where were only 7 titles landed on my completed list.

In which I’m very interested of are, Bakuman. and Ore no Imouto ga konna ni Kawaii wake ga nai.

I marathoned the Bakuman manga just recently upto chapter 103 after watching the first episode, I was simply just hooked in after watching the first episode ( which is also the first chapter of the manga). I was planning to read it but never came to.

Ore no Imouto on the other side, I was keeping track on it since the first novel volume came out and found it very interesting and funny after reading it, but I’m still stuck at volume 02 though until now.

To Aru Majutsu no Index II, Arakawa under the Bridge x Bridge, Motto To Love-Ru: Trouble and Sora no Otoshimono Forte are the obligatory sequels which needed to be seen. In order of importance.

I have read the MM! manga upto volume 03 and the anime seems to be quite fast paced and the characters seems to be a bit different than what I imagined, compared to the manga or the light novel but I will still watch it.

Sore demo Machi wa Mawatteiru is a very funny show and hey it’s SHAFT who is animating it. Omigawa Chiaki is also a fitting seiyuu for Hotori, she voiced Maka Albarn in Soul Eater.

Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls has a very interesting animation style and very creative censorship. I will wait for the BDrips though until I watch it.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (The World God only Knows) is also on my plan-to-watch list, I’m still at chapter 14 on the manga though and it has been on-hold since then. I guess, I will watch the anime before I catch up with the manga.

Other titles are (in order of interest):

  • Shinei Tantei Yakumo
  • Otome Youkai Zakuro
  • Star Driver
  • Iron Man
  • Yosuga no Sora
  • Shinryaku Ika Musume
  • Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

I’m interested in nearly of all the OVAs that will be releasing in this season.
I will probably only following Bakuman and Ore no Imouto this season and will wait out for the rest until it has been finished airing.

I’ll satisfy myself in the meanwhile with finishing some unwatched gems from the past anime decade. I’m having a hard time looking for good titles though, If you have some recommendations, then please drop a comment on my myanimelist profile.

I’ve written a Search Plug-in for the site MangaUpdates.com and uploaded it at Mozilla Add-ons site.
So if you visit mangaupdates.com frequently and searches a lot for manga titles and got tired of the “2-way” “3-click” search at the site then you definitely have to add this Search Plug-in.
The next version will be supporting searches with Kanji and Kana, or probably even CJK characters.

My debut in the scanlation scene

I’ve made by debut but not as translator ;<

So please support Major Scans, for scanlating Koukou Kyuji Zawa-san (高校球児ザワさん) and say thanks to Ecks for translating it.

My first manga translation is online

I was browsing Raw-Paradise’ website as usual for new manga raws, as I usually look for new series, I downloaded Manaka Days without knowing what it’s all about.

After downloading and reading it, I thought: “Hey, that was easy to translate!”

I transcribed it and translated it, so here’s the result: http://mangahelpers.com/t/mflatischler/releases/21400

It still need some translation check and proofreading to be able to be used for scanlation, but I guess I made an enjoyable work.

Oh, and I have an extra blog for my manga transcriptions and translations:

Bleach 265 - End of the filler arc

I was 3 episodes behind and watched them just now in a row and to my surprise, the arc ended with episode 265.

The arc wasn’t that bad, compared to the previous filler arcs which Bleach had.
It started quite good, the middle part was a little bit boring and the last part had a kind of slice-of-life touch into it. So yeah, all in all, it was quite an enjoyable arc.

I may say, I could have still endured some more episodes of the last part.

Well then, here we go again trying to endure Orihime’s monotonous “Kurosaki-kun.”
I really pity Orihime’s voice actress/seiyuu. <_<;

Anime Spring 2010

I’m so absorbed in reading manga the last few months that I’ve just realized a few moments ago that, the new season has already started.

I started it with Major 6th and Ookiku Furikabutte ~Natsu no Taikai-hen~:D

Warner Bros to develop Live-Action Bleach movie

It hurts… really. I can’t stop laughing. My two hands and footsoles aren’t enough for the facepalm I wan’t to make.
